The National Motorcycle Museum houses the largest collection of British motorcycle’s in the world with over 1000 machines from 170 different manufacterers spanning no less than three centuries! Of the 1000 plus machines in the collection there are around 850 on display at any one time throughout the museum’s five huge display halls. With our earliest pioneer machine dating from 1898 through to the latest British superbikes of this century the museum collection highlights both the development of the motorcycle as well as showcasing the UKs proud motorcycle manufacturing heritage. The National Motorcycle Museum The National Motorcycle Museum is recognised as the finest and largest British motorcycle museum in the world and originally opened its doors in October 1984 with a collection of 350 motorcycles on display. The Museum collection now boasts some 1000 plus machines, fully restored to the manufacturers original specifications with over 850 on display at any one time.
The National Conference Centre The National Conference Centre situated on the same site as the National Motorcycle Museum is also one of the UKs largest conferencing and events facilities. The award winning conference centre has 13 purpose built suites available, including the Wardroom, seating small parties of up to 20 guests, and the Imperial Suite which can host 1000. Stevens Ltd - Wolverhampton - 1914 to 1931 H. Ariel Motorcycles was a British motorcycle manufacturer based in Bournbrook, Birmingham. It was one of the leading innovators in British motorcycling, and was part of the Ariel marque. The company was sold to BSA in 1951 but the Ariel brand survived until 1967.
Beta is an Italian motorcycle company that started manufacturing motorcycles in 1948 Now specialising in off-road motorcycles. Bianchi motorcycles were made from 1897 to 1967 by F.I.V. Edoardo Bianchi S.p.A, a company which today is a major Italian bicycle manufacturer, and who also produced automobiles from 1900 to 1939.
Edoardo Bianchi started his bicycle manufacturing business in a small shop on Milan’s Via Nirone in 1885. Bianchi was a prominent name in the motorcycle racing world from 1925 to 1930. Motorcycle manufacturing now operates under the BMW Motorrad brand. BMW Bayerische Motoren Werke AG introduced the first motorcycle under its name, the R32, in 1923 to 1925. BSA was a a group of businesses manufacturing military and sporting firearms; bicycles; motorcycles; cars; buses and bodies; steel; iron castings; hand, power, and machine tools; coal cleaning and handling plants; sintered metals; and hard chrome process.

At its peak, BSA was the largest motorcycle producer in the world. Cagiva is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer. It was founded in 1950 by Giovanni Castiglioni in Varese, originally producing small metal components. Giovanni's sons, Claudio and Gianfranco Castiglioni went into the motorcycle industry in 1978.
